Invite supporters, collaborators, creators and volunteers without promising them guaranteed profit or employment.
Create repeatable systems
Document processes, build useful services and test sustainable recurring revenue before calling it passive income.
The First-Year Working Budget
Target compensation
$20/hourAt an assumed 40 hours weekly, this equals $800 per week in gross pay or $41,600 per 52-week year, before taxes, benefits and business operating costs.
Why stability matters
12 monthsA stable first year could fund product work, member support, creator operations and outreach. Personal living costs and any founder compensation must be transparently budgeted and approved.
This is a financial planning target, not an established salary, funded job, investment return, or payment obligation. Any expenses allocated to the founder should be disclosed separately from restricted charitable gifts or program funds.
